A Day in the Life of a Supermum: Jen Smith
Course: Salesforce Admin Course
Works: Bluebay Asset Management
Jen decided to upskill and launch her Salesforce career because..
I started my professional life as a CRM business analyst in investment banking, so CRM has long been a big part of my career. I took a six-year career break after having children, during which I did a little part-time CRM consultancy with art galleries which I loved because they are such beautiful places to work.
I wanted to get back to work in financial services again and realised that times had changed quite a bit, and that Salesforce was very widely used in the industry. A friend told me about the Supermums course, and the rest is history really!
Jen decided to upskill in Salesforce Admin Course with Supermums because..
At the time my youngest was still at home and I loved that I could take the course webinars and calls with just a couple of half days of childcare and complete the rest of the work in the evenings and at weekends. Including work experience and preparation for the ADM201 certification was also a big plus.
I learn best by doing and there’s nothing like working on a live project to help you develop the skills and practice trouble shooting tricky requirements. The input from the Economic Change team during the work experience was supportive and helpful too.
Jen was able to launch her new Salesforce career successfully because….
I’ve rebuilt my career with Salesforce and have some exciting opportunities ahead – it’s a genuine door-opener which for me is very refreshing because there can be a sense of doors closing after becoming a mum.
I’m really proud to have been one of the first Supermums, and the programme was exactly what I needed to restart my career. If you like learning and problem solving with technology, then Salesforce is for you.
Jen has now successfully achieved a Salesforce career that offers her…
I’ve been working for over two years full-time as Salesforce Administrator and Sales Operations Executive with an Asset Manager. I work from home on Fridays so that I can do the school run and be around the house a little more.
I’m not really the poster child for flexible working. Turns out I really quite like going to work! There are definite lots of flexible options out there with Salesforce and employers are increasingly open to flexible working for all employees.
I support 180 Salesforce users, dealing with questions and problems, developing new functionality, delivering training, and currently rolling out Pardot, so no two days are the same.
