Ivan decided to upskill and launch his Salesforce career because…

I started out as a PC technician and moved into various roles including Web Developer and Email Developer but I wanted to specialise in the Salesforce ecosystem.

I was looking for a role as a Marketing Cloud Email Developer so I could increase my hourly rate but didn’t have the right skills.  

Ivan decided to upskill in Marketing Cloud with Supermums because… 

I first heard about Supermums in a previous role and, while I didn’t do the Admin course, I remembered there was a Salesforce Marketing Cloud course so it was the first place I turned to when I wanted to upskill.

Another reason I chose Supermums is the work experience element. Supermums is one of the only providers to offer this and without access to it, I wouldn’t have known what I was doing. I knew the product inside out and this was the icing on the cake in an interview as when they asked if I had hands-on experience, I could confidently reply ‘yes’.

 

Ivan was able to launch his Salesforce career successfully because…

I wouldn’t have been considered for my role if I hadn’t taken the Salesforce Marketing Cloud course with Supermums.

This meant everything I learned, from email studio to data extension and automation studio, I could perform from day 1 and apply straightaway. Having this knowledge made me attractive to employers as I had the skills they were looking for and it didn’t cost them any more to train me up. I recall there was a query about someone not receiving e-mails. I remembered something our trainer had told us which meant I could apply a problem-solving solution to a real-life situation.

I wasn’t certified at this point as I had been laid off and was looking for a new job but being equipped with these skills meant I could get a new job – and I was looking forward to getting certified.

 

Ivan has a successful, flexible career in Salesforce that offers him…  

My role is 100% remote, which allows me to look after my health yet still work flexibly full-time. My job can be challenging, but that’s not the tech – it’s managing people and time management. I have previous experience in Customer Services so I can manage people. I just have to work on ensuring campaigns are prioritised and delivered on time.

My advice to anyone thinking about learning Marketing Cloud would be: don’t be afraid of the tech part of this, Supermums hold your hand, teach you everything you need to know and it’s a worthwhile investment.
