Catalina decided to upskill and launch her Salesforce career because..

I was a Spanish teacher for almost 15 years, teaching foreign kids through fun activities in a Workshop, but I needed a change in my life. I wanted a new career, a new challenge, a better salary, something where I could work from home.

It took me a year to make the decision to start the Supermums course because I didn’t know anything about Salesforce and I didn’t have an IT background, so I was unsure as to whether it was a good decision.  Then my friend told me what Salesforce was, that he works with it, and he encouraged me to learn and start a career in Salesforce.

Catalina decided to upskill in Salesforce Admin Course with Supermums because..

I think that Supermums is a great programme because it is empowering, it gives you the confidence to do it, no matter how challenging it is to start a new career. The Supermums Team taught me how to take advantage of my advantages, how to present myself, because sometimes you lack the confidence and you get imposter syndrome.

I found the course was very well structured, you can learn at your own pace, but the deadlines give you the accountability to finish tasks and not to procrastinate. The material was so complete and included everything you need to know to start your career in Salesforce. We also had study groups in the Supermums course, and they were very useful.

The work experience element of the course was extremely important for me. Learning the theory isn’t the same as to practice in a real-life project with the support of experts.  I had an amazing experience with my Project Manager.

Catalina was able to launch her new Salesforce career successfully because….

Sometimes you ask yourself ‘are Supermums promising too much? Is it really this amazing?’, but when you finish the course and you have the practical experience, your confidence grows and you realise you can do it, and then you find a job!

After completing the Admin course, I started my job and saw that I needed business analysis, consultancy and project management skills. I could transfer my teaching skills, especially when you’re a project manager as you need to guide people, and make them comfortable with Salesforce, so I had that skill, but I also needed the other skills.

The assessments in the Consultancy Skills course were the best things for me, because you get all the theory but then you have to present it. I am a teacher, I’m used to presenting and having audiences, but to present to a client was very challenging and it was the thing that made me learn the most.

All the skills I have learnt in the Consultancy Skills Course gave me what I needed to be able to fit in a company, in a job where I didn’t have practical experience, and didn’t have the background. The course gave me the confidence to do this job.

Catalina has now successfully achieved a Salesforce career that offers them..

I work for Ebury, a Financial Services company in two departments: I am a Project Manager in the technology department, and I work as a Salesforce Consultant for one of the squads in the Salesforce team. I help gathering and prioritizing requirements from stakeholders and writing user stories with the product owner.

I work full-time remotely from home. The working hours are fixed but there is flexibility.

The best thing about my job is the ability to transfer my teaching and coaching skills; working with young people and being able to help to improve processes.

The Supermums Courses really changed my professional life! Supermums is very good value. It’s an investment in you. You get to learn how to start a new career from the best teachers, and they support you, empower you and give you the confidence to do it.
