“My background was originally in semiconductor engineering, and I also worked in insurance sales and corporate relocation management. I even owned a successful relocation company in Myanmar. Most of my career and life had been based in Asia — living and working in Myanmar, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

About four years ago, my family and I moved to the UK to settle here. I worked briefly for a relocation company, but I felt like I needed more. I wanted to reinvent myself and move into a different industry — one that was flexible, future-proof, and would allow me to work from anywhere in the world.”

“As a trained engineer, I knew I enjoyed problem-solving, so tech felt like a natural choice — but I didn’t know which direction to take. I started researching and came across a post from Heather in a flexible working Facebook group.

I then spoke to someone working in Salesforce who had only positive things to say about Supermums. I also spoke with Lynn and Susan, the Supermums career advisers. What stood out immediately was how structured the course was — with amazing instructors, career advice sessions, mentoring, and a recruitment team. “I completed the Supermums Salesforce Admin Course and earned my Salesforce Admin certification in March. I also worked on a charity project through Supermums with a London-based charity, which gave me real-world experience inside the Salesforce ecosystem.

That hands-on experience was invaluable. It gave me the confidence to start applying for roles, knowing I could talk about practical work, not just theory. Five months later, in September, I secured a role at Salesforce.”

Christina has now successfully achieved a career change into AI that offers her…

“I’m now working as a Solution Engineer at Salesforce as part of a pre-sales team. My role involves using Salesforce solutions to solve business problems for regulated industries like banks and fintech companies. I build demos to show what we call ‘the art of the possible’ for customers.

The most exciting part of my role is working with AI every day — not just using AI tools for productivity and research, but actually building AI agents, known as Agentforce agents. These demonstrate how businesses can solve pain points, improve productivity, increase profitability, and move toward becoming an agentic enterprise, where humans and AI work together. I’m incredibly grateful to be working in this space.”
