Ada decided to upskill and launch her Salesforce career because..

I used to work as a Business Analyst at Diageo. I already worked with HR systems until we moved to cloud-based applications. I became the specialist for that system, managing smaller projects and doing configuration where required. I later moved into the IT department. I got made redundant while I was pregnant, so once I had my child and my contract had ended, I was unsure what I wanted to do. Since we had some involvement with Salesforce in my previous role, that seemed like a good idea, so I signed up.

Ada decided to upskill in Salesforce Admin Course with Supermums because..

I really enjoyed the homework element and found it very helpful as it gave me some structure. At the time, I had an under-three and a newborn baby at home, so having that schedule and structure really helped.

The work experience was like having my own playground where I could do my own building and experiment with different things to see how it would work out. Sometimes you make mistakes, but you are learning from your mistakes and you can just go back and fix it.

The course was great for providing accountability. I knew the trainer would see my progress, and I also knew I needed to do it for myself.   The webinars were always recorded which is brilliant. On a couple of occasions, I was not able to complete the homework on time, but I would rewatch the webinars to remember what had been explained and demonstrated, and that was very valuable.

Ada was able to launch her new Salesforce career successfully because….

Working with the Supermums Recruitment Team was great as the team already knew what roles I would be interested in and could put me forward for them. They secured me consultancy contracts, and through these, I was able to carry out different parts of the job which gave me the exposure I needed to understand where I would like to go, and where my skills were valuable.

The support that the course gave me with the hands-on experience was very valuable. As soon as I had that work experience and my certification, the interest in me increased.

I’m so happy that I took the risk. The entire Supermums Team was so supportive and gave me confidence as well.

Ada has now successfully achieved a Salesforce career that offers her..

Since the course has finished, everything just happened so fast. I’m now working as a project manager for Advice UK, managing four different projects simultaneously. It feels a bit surreal, but I’m enjoying it so much. I feel like I’m growing every single day.

I was very lucky that I was able to do a lot of work from home when I was contracting . Similarly, working for Advice UK, I was able to work from home and go into the office once a week to meet clients.  We have one project now where everything will be remote. We had a virtual kick-off meeting and now the discovery sessions are taking place remotely.
