Martina made a bold career change from the art world after 20 years as a contemporary art specialist. With Supermums Salesforce training, she gained her Admin certification and launched a new role as a Junior Salesforce Admin with Advice UK.

New Role: Junior Salesforce Admin, Advice UK
“When you’re in that stage of change, you just have to trust the process and accept all of the uncertainty. Supermums gave me the structure, support, and confidence to completely pivot into tech.”
Martina decided to make a career change from the art world because…
“I had a big, fulfilling career in the art world — working in galleries, auction houses, running my own consultancy, and ultimately serving as the global co-head of contemporary art for a digital arts platform. But I reached a point where my industry couldn’t give me what I wanted anymore. I was interested in tech, in something bigger and more open. Salesforce kept coming up as one of the best companies to work for, and I knew I wanted to explore the ecosystem.”
Martina decided to upskill with Supermums because…
“Luckily, a friend from my art world days had built an incredible Salesforce career through Supermums, and she recommended the programme as the most supportive entry point into the ecosystem. I joined the Supermums Ultimate Admin Course in October. The structure, weekly live sessions, homework, mentors, and Trailhead learning made it manageable alongside family and even interviewing for senior art roles at the same time.”
Martina was able to launch her new career successfully because…
“Supermums training was challenging but rewarding, especially coming from a visual background rather than a technical one. By March, I’d finished my training and earned my Salesforce Admin certification — on my third attempt! Shortly after, I secured a Junior Salesforce Admin role with Advice UK focused on data strategy.
The Supermums team and my mentor were incredibly supportive, helping me shift my mindset, build confidence, and recognise how my transferable skills — like communication and client management — mattered just as much as technical knowledge.”
Martina has now successfully achieved a career change from the art world that offers her…
“I’m now building a career in tech while drawing on skills from my previous life. It’s rewarding to work in a role where building something tangible has real impact. The flexibility, career growth, and inspiration I get from colleagues every day remind me that I made the right choice.”
Final Thoughts on a career change from the art world
“Certifications are hard, but they’re worth it because they prove what you’re capable of. With Supermums, I found a supportive community that not only helped me through training but continues to support me as I grow in my career. If my story inspires someone else to take the leap into tech, then I’m delighted — because it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made.”
