“Before moving into Salesforce, I worked in the transport industry as an Operations Manager. My role was heavily reliant on manual, paper-based processes, which felt inefficient and outdated. I was always looking for ways to improve workflows and automate tasks, but I didn’t have the right tools. During the pandemic, both my wife and I were introduced to Salesforce, and I was immediately intrigued. I realised that learning Salesforce could not only help me improve my own work but also open up a completely new career path.“

“I’ve always been technical, having worked with computers, Excel, and data structures in the past, so understanding Salesforce was something that clicked naturally. I was completely surprised by the recognition, I hadn’t realised how much of an impact I had made in just eight months until I saw the appreciation from my peers and leadership. This award reinforced that I had made the right decision in transitioning to Salesforce, and it has motivated me to keep learning and growing.”

“One of the biggest challenges in my role has been understanding the different ways global teams operate. My company has teams across Australia, the US, and Europe, and they all use Salesforce slightly differently. It’s been an exciting challenge to bridge the gap between regional processes and create unified solutions that work across the organisation.”

“Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue developing my skills, optimising business processes, and mentoring others who are starting their own Salesforce journeys. My goal is to further expand into business strategy and possibly even consulting in the future.”
