This week we are talking about the 5 Communication tools to use on a Salesforce Project
Watch this quick video to get an overview on this topic from Heather Black, CEO of Supermums and lead instructor the consultancy skills course.
What’s covered? Here’s a summary:
- Managing Time and Budget – A Project Management Tool is needed to track task and utilisation of time and budget against the project deliverables by the team.
- User Requirements – A solution to log all of the functional / non-functional requirements and the associated technical requirements to be built for the system. .
- Communication Tools – Ideally this tool should be integrated with other tools that provide the ability to converse back and forth on project tasks and requirements. I
- File Sharing – Have a shared filing solution where clients can share information with the Salesforce team to avoid things getting lost in emails and no single source of truth to store things.
- Process Mapping Tool – Use a process mapping software to map out before and after processes and produce documents such as a Object entity diagram.
When we asked the Salesforce Ohana what there favourite tools were for Project Management (quite often two systems are used – for internal and client facing communication), these were the four most commonly cited:
•Jira and Confluence
•Asana (with Slack and Flowsana)
•Taskray
•Trello
