The Supermums team and our community of learners, volunteers and corporate partners are all absolutely delighted to hear that Supermums has has won the Salesforce Partner of the Year Award 2027 for our Pledge 1% initiative. We are thrilled to be receiving the Award at Dreamforce 2026 on the eve of our 10 year anniversary.

Over the last 10 years, Supermums has been dedicated to empowering women in tech and we look to maximise the impact and value of our training programmes in everyway.

“Pledge 1% has made us accountable to think how we can go one step further to making an impact beyond our primary social mission and commercial goals. As a socially driven organization, we already strive to make an impact, but Pledge 1% makes us think about how we use our resources to give more time, money, and product and make an even bigger difference.”

What is the Pledge 1%

The Pledge 1% is leading a global movement to embed social impact into the DNA of all businesses.

The Pledge 1% movement was seeded by Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, who committed 1% of Salesforce’s product, time, and equity (dubbed the 1-1-1 model) to be a force for good and attract aligned employees. Scott Farquhar, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Atlassian, added 1% of profit to the concept to round out what eventually became the Pledge 1% flexible framework for giving. On Giving Tuesday 2014, Atlassian and Salesforce challenged 500 companies to Pledge 1% by Giving Tuesday 2015, spearheading a global movement that is now 19,000 companies strong.

Why did Supermums win the Salesforce Partner of the Year Award for the Pledge 1%

At Supermums we provide Salesforce customers with Salesforce and AI training and Recruitment support to manage their systems and also provide an upskilling programme to help women and others launch their tech career in the eco-system. As part of this delivery we look at different ways to give back.

We provide volunteer time to non-profits

We are incredibly grateful to the Supermums trainees who engage in our Salesforce Admin training course and contribute 48hrs of pro-bono volunteer hours for our non-profit clients.

Over the last ten years, our trainees have contributed an incredible 44,000 hours of pro-bono support to over 200 non-profits, and in just the last year, our trainees have contributed over 7, 300 hours of pro-bono support to non-profits.

This support makes a massive different to the non-profit organisations who are looking to implement and advance their use of Salesforce. Find out more about pro-bono support

We donate our product

We have actively raised funds to donate our products to beneficaries. Heather Black, the CEO has written two best selling books and generated sales from ‘Become a Super Salesforce Consultant’ and ‘Become a Super Salesforce Admin’. The proceeds have equated to 1% equivalent of our annual training turnover and provided bursaries for people to join our Ultimate Salesforce Admin Courses for free. To select the beneficiaries we partnered with charitable organisations to nominate women who have suffered from domestic violence or have been refugees.

We redistribute profit back into our social mission

Supermums Training is a Community Interest company and a 100% of our profit is reinvested back activities and operations to further our social mission of:

  • Educating women about flexible well paid careers in tech
  • Supporting women returners to relaunch their career
  • Helping women progress up the career ladder to tackle the gender pay gap.

We have annually sponsored communities of women looking for flexible well-paid work, including Career Returners, Flexible Working People and Investing in Women delivering a series of free educational events, providing free courses and downloadable education resources.

Overall we have engaged with over 10,000 women to educate them about career opportunities in tech and AI and upskilling them in AI and Salesforce. In the last year, we have engaged with 3000 women in these opportunities.

We have also sponsored Irish Dreamin, London’s Calling and Dream Ole, to support educational events in the community.

Creating the Ripple Affect – Engaging others in the Pledge 1%

We are proud to have partnered with other companies who also align or work towards the Pledge 1%, who have given their own time, money and product to collaborate on our mission.

Engaging Volunteer Mentors

We have engaged 1,300 people as volunteers who have delivered over 46,800 hours of mentoring to our learners.

The volunteers have come from companies such as Salesforce, Consultancies, Customers and ISVs, or they are Supermums alumni who have graduated over the years and now return to support their peers.

The mentoring makes a huge difference to someone’s journey when they are relaunching their career, providing them with technical knowledge, reassurance, confidence and job search support.

Sponsoring and Educating our Learners

We also work with a range of partners who sponsor Supermums and educate our audience in new tech products and skills, donating their time, product and skills to advance the technical competencies and employability skills of our students. We are proud to be working with over 15 partners this year including some of the following brands:

Thankyou to everyone for helping us make a difference and giving us the opportunity to win the Salesforce Partner of the Year Award.

The Supermums community is a force for good and everyone should be especially proud of contributing and supporting our mission to make a difference to women’s lives and the non-profits we support.

This award belongs to everyone involved in our mission, and we are incredibly blessed to be able to change lives on so many levels. Thankyou from Heather and the Supermums Team.

We look forward to continuing our mission in the future and invite you to be a part of it.
