AI is creating huge opportunities for businesses to save time, improve productivity and grow but smaller businesses risk being left behind. Women already face additional barriers when starting and scaling businesses, and the rapid adoption of AI could create another divide.

Supermums wants to help close that gap.

We have launched the Supermums Business Hub with an ambition to help 1,000 women-led businesses embrace AI and technology by 2030. Through a growing network of Supermums AI Business Consultants, local Business Networks, training, coaching and specialist support, we’re helping female founders understand where technology can make a difference and, importantly, how to put it into practice.

Why does it matter?

We want to make sure women-led businesses aren’t left behind in the AI economy.

Women continue to face barriers when starting and growing businesses, from access to finance and networks to the impact of caring responsibilities. At the same time, smaller businesses are falling behind larger organisations in adopting and integrating AI and technology. Supermums wants to help close both gaps.

We want to make AI practical for small businesses

AI is rapidly changing how businesses operate, but for many small business owners the challenge is not recognising its potential.

It is knowing what to do next. Businesses need more than a ChatGPT lesson, they need someone who can help them apply AI across their actual business processes and technology stack.

Questions range from which AI tools are genuinely useful. Additionally, they explore what can be automated to save time.

Moreover, they look at how to improve sales processes and grow conversions. They also cover using CRM effectively, reducing administration, and introducing new technology without extra complexity.

The New Supermums Business Hub provides a global network of local AI Business Consultants, business networks, training and practical support to help women-led businesses work smarter and grow.

We’re making practical AI and technology expertise more accessible to women in business.

We want to help then save time, improve productivity, grow with confidence and build stronger businesses, while creating opportunities for more women to develop their own careers and businesses in the AI economy.

.As the company approaches its 10 year anniversary, this new initiative extends our ambition of empowering women in tech, from not just career changers but also work with women-led businesses from start-up to scale-up to growth.

The new Hub builds on Supermums’ existing work supporting women to develop technology careers in the Salesforce ecosystem.

The organisation was founded in 2016 and has since developed an international community, trained women in technology skills and supported women moving into consultancy, administration and other technology roles.

Over the last decade Supermums have helped over 22,000 people upskill in tech through webinars and resources.

We have helped over 2,000 women relaunch their careers in tech.

We have placed talent into over 400 businesses.

This exciting new initiative takes our mission one step further.

We have a global community of tech and AI consultants

The initiative will bring together talent from Supermums’ existing community and develop a network of consultants and champions who can support small businesses with practical advice around AI, CRM, automation and business technology.

Rather than expecting small business owners to navigate the rapidly changing technology landscape alone, Supermums wants to make trusted expertise available within their own business communities..

At the heart of the model will be local Supermums Business Networks, led by AI Business Consultants or ‘Super’ volunteers and designed to bring women together to talk openly about business, technology and life.

Through networking events, practical workshops, training and one-to-one consultations, women will be able to explore how AI and technology could help them save time, improve productivity, strengthen sales and marketing and grow their businesses.

The Supermums Business Hub aims to provide a practical route through that uncertainty.

Businesses will be able to access:

A global ambition delivered locally

Supermums’ ambition is not simply to create another online business community.

We are building local networks where relationships can develop face-to-face, while connecting those communities to expertise, training and opportunities available through the wider Supermums global business network powered by Slack.

Supermums currently runs regular local events in London for it’s community but it wants to expand this further afield with a wider remit.

Local events will be led by Supermums AI Business Consultants or Super Host who builds relationships with small businesses in their area, hosts networking and learning events and becomes a trusted local point of contact for practical AI and technology advice.

Where a business requires expertise beyond one consultant’s specialism, consultants can collaborate with or refer to others within the wider network.

This creates a model that is both locally rooted and globally connected.

The first physical Supermums Business Hub is planned to open in Hastings, East Sussex, in November 2026, with Supermums intending to collaborate with co-working spaces, business hubs and communities elsewhere rather than building a large chain of Supermums-owned premises.

Creating opportunities on both sides of the AI economy

The initiative has a second objective.

Supermums wants to create new freelance opportunities for women who have completed their technical training with Supermums and want to build careers as freelance AI Business Consultants.

Rather than starting a consultancy entirely alone, consultants can train with us and take on a Supermums license that will enable them build their own local client base while benefiting from the Supermums brand, business network, consultancy resources, ongoing AI and product learning and a wider community of consultants with different skills and experience.

The model is designed to create a positive cycle:

Develop female AI and technology talent → connect that talent with women-led businesses → help those businesses adopt technology → create stronger businesses and new opportunities → share that knowledge back through the community.

“We want to give women the tools to super-charge their business and life.”

Heather Black, Founder of Supermums, said:

“As a female-led business owner myself I feel the pressure of running a business, managing a team and trying to keep pace with AI and tech . The only way i’ve managed to do it is by joining groups of people who get it and can show me how.”

“I’ve personally invested in AI training and consultancy to help our team advance and it’s been such an insight into how we can work quicker and smarter. Until you see what’s possible you can’t imagine it and you won’t implement it. It’s why the Supermums Business Hub will be running events and AI consultations to give people that lightbulb moment!

At Supermums, we have built up an incredible talent pool of AI champions and consultants over the last 10 years who are ready and available to help women-led businesses ramp their AI knowledge, processes and systems today.

“This new initiative extends our mission of upskilling women in tech to relaunch their career and we are extending this opportunity one step further .There are talented women in our community with backgrounds in consulting, Salesforce, marketing, operations, project management and technology who could become the trusted AI Business Consultant for businesses in their area.”
