5 Reasons to Up-skill, instead of Outsourcing Salesforce Talent!
By Stella Sutcliffe
It’s almost National Apprenticeship Week 2022! NAW is championed by the UK government, and this year’s will be the 15th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships.
Between the 7th – 13th February 2022, the government will be bringing together employers and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
Supermums is one of the many organisations who supports lifelong learning via this channel…..and why we are discussing the importance of upskilling your workforce, instead of outsourcing Salesforce talent.
Apprenticeships offer a way for individuals to earn and learn, by putting training to constant practical use. They are available to everybody, not just newly graduating 21 year olds, and at Supermums, we specifically market our scheme towards people who’ve had real working world experience, allowing them to use all of their professional background and transferrable knowledge to benefit the business they work for.
Salesforce is very enthusiastic to offer their support to any individual and UK employer who wishes to benefit from the apprenticeships scheme, and supports Supermums with offering a comprehensive training programme delivered by our partners at Learning Curve Group.
Our Apprenticeship course covers:
- Developing a business case for technology investment
- Identify tech barriers
- Researching and improving customer experience
- Effective management of requirements and progress
- Identifying additional digital apps and solutions
- Wider organisational learning and engagement with Salesforce
- Tracking and monitoring of success
At the end of the 18 month course, the trainee will have earned a Level 4 qualification – which is the equivalent of the first year of a university bachelor’s degree.
What does the Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship course cost?
- If your pay bill is over £3 million, then it will cost absolutely nothing for organisations or learners. You can draw down funds which your organisation will be paying into a levy pot.
- If your pay bill is under £3 million, then it will cost absolutely nothing for organisations or learners – because Supermums and Learning Curve will assist you with accessing levy funds via Salesforce which are especially provided to ensure equity to businesses who wish to upskill their people.
Why should employers get involved?
So why should your organisation join the many private, public sector and third sector organisations who have already benefitted from claiming free training via the apprenticeship levy scheme?
- Diversity and inclusion
By committing to upskilling your existing teams, businesses will be creating a training plan which allows you to work with the knowledge you already have about your team as individuals, their working patterns and their on-the-job requirements regarding accessibility.
You can also invite those to train who would not only benefit from the course, but enable your SLT to demonstrate your organisation’s focus on upskilling employees across all of the nine protected characteristics, including women.
In the recent Supermums trainee cohorts, between 50%-75% are from minority groups and between 80-90% are women.
We don’t turn anybody away from our courses….and you don’t even need to be a parent, however every trainee helps us to build on our success which in turn, helps us to provide training to the ones who need us most.
- Guard against unnecessary attrition
One of the key reasons people seek new opportunities and resign is lack of development.
By committing to training some of those people you have prioritised as essential to your work and people strategies, employees will see how important existing staff are, instead of a sole focus on bringing new talent from external sources.
Every Salesforce specialist we work with on our Level 4 BA course is already in employment and are committed to training in a way that allows them to learn on-the-job.
The apprenticeships course is 18 months long and therefore represents a long-term, comprehensive work plan where solving existing system challenges will form part of the training homework. This level of organisational dedication to a training programme. It encourages loyalty via the desire to commit to long term learning via meaningful project work for your business.
Showcasing the training programmes you’re engaging with will not only help to retain those on the course, but also colleagues around them who may start to assess their own training goals.
- Build staff engagement and productivity
‘A Happy Workforce is a Busy Workforce!’
Feeling considered, included and encouraged is what keeps data plans on track, strategies tight and revenues rolling in. It’s no secret that people who receive benefits from their employers will give back much more than those who don’t. Supermums doesn’t just train, we build communities. Our channels encourage all of our trainees to share knowledge and use our groups to look for Salesforce inspiration, which means that the training embarked upon by your staff will continue to bring fresh ideas and diversity of thought into your business long after the course end date.
We have over 500+ alumni and a mailing list of over 5k. Making people feel confident in their work is what we do best!
