About the Opportunity
We are supporting our client, a growing organisation with an established Salesforce environment, in their search for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce professional who enjoys combining platform administration, user support, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day Salesforce operations, act as a key point of contact for internal users, and help enhance the platform to better support business needs.
The role is fully remote and open to candidates based anywhere in the UK.
The Role
As Salesforce Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting and improving the Salesforce platform, with a strong focus on Service Cloud. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, a Salesforce trainee, and a dedicated Salesforce Developer to ensure the platform remains effective, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact by improving processes, enhancing user experience, and supporting the continued development of a key business system.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day Salesforce administration and business-as-usual (BAU) support.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal Salesforce queries, requests, and system updates.
- Manage Salesforce configuration, including users, permissions, reports, dashboards, flows, validation rules, and other platform features.
- Deliver system improvements and enhancements, particularly across Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, functionality, and overall user experience.
- Support the ongoing development and optimisation of Salesforce Experience Cloud, ensuring the platform remains fit for purpose for external users.
- Provide support across Salesforce Sales Cloud where required.
- Work collaboratively with a Salesforce Developer on more complex system development and improvements.
- Support and mentor a Salesforce trainee, providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and assistance with their learning journey.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
Salesforce Environment
Our client operates a Salesforce environment that is primarily focused on Service Cloud, which supports approximately 90% of their Salesforce usage. The remaining 10% is focused on Sales Cloud, alongside an actively used Experience Cloud portal supporting a key customer.
A Salesforce Developer is already engaged on a fixed-term contract to manage more complex development activities, allowing this role to focus on administration, configuration, support, and continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for a Salesforce Administrator who is confident working independently, enjoys problem-solving, and has experience supporting business users within a live Salesforce environment.
Essential Experience
- 2–4 years’ hands-on Salesforce Administration experience within a commercial environment.
- Strong experience administering Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Experience managing Salesforce users, profiles, permission sets, reports, dashboards, flows, validation rules, and configuration.
- Experience handling BAU support requests and delivering platform improvements.
- Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into practical Salesforce solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently within a remote team environment.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud.
- Working knowledge of Sales Cloud.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201 or equivalent).
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior Salesforce team members.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery or IT service management practices.
What’s on Offer
- Fully remote UK-based opportunity.
- Salary of up to £40,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time).
- Opportunity to take ownership of Salesforce improvements within an established environment.
- Collaboration with experienced Salesforce professionals.
- The chance to support and mentor an emerging Salesforce Administrator.
- A varied role combining administration, optimisation, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
