Supermums bring Salesforce skills to Australia & New Zealand
By Jennifer Wood
The Supermums Team is excited to announce our expansion and launch in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), kicking off with our flagship and sell out Salesforce Administrator Programme, in February 2022.
So, Why Australia?
The idea for Supermums was founded in Australia, when Heather, our Founder and CEO, piloted working flexibility as a Salesforce Consultant from a camper van while travelling around Australia and New Zealand. It’s really exciting to be taking the concept back to where it was first tested and piloted before rolling out globally!
Skills Shortage in ANZ
Companies in the region have taken a customer centric approach, long before it became the latest buzzword. There is also a genuine culture of innovation in Australia and New Zealand, which is one of the reasons Salesforce has done so well…yet there is still not enough talent to meet demand.
According to recent studies by RMIT University, by 2025 Australia will need 156,000 new technology workers, with 87 per cent of jobs now requiring digital skills.
With such huge demand for Salesforce professionals, that cannot be met with local talent due to significant skill shortages across all Salesforce roles, more and more companies are outsourcing, some of which is coming from overseas talent . This means there are plenty of opportunities for individuals looking to upskill in Salesforce, find a new career, work on great projects and get awesome experience. You can accelerate your own career while adding great business value.
A Unique Approach
The Supermums training model is unique. It offers a combination of online learning, live webinars, mentorship, work experience, coaching, job search support & a sense of community. It’s proven to be a winning combination, with trainees finding that the course prepares them with both the skills and the confidence to progress into jobs in the Salesforce ecosystem. Our Supermums often have valuable experience in other industries and bring a host of highly transferrable skills. Combined with Salesforce training, this makes them hugely valuable talent.
Since 2016, Supermums has helped over 400+ trainees across 9 countries who have signed up to our programme with 85% securing work within 3 months of graduating. Our presence is already widespread with over 150 volunteers, mentors and ambassadors come from 14 different countries. So, due to popular demand, we are launching the successful model in Australia and New Zealand, in order to offer training, support, mentorship and work experience at times that suit our global community.
Growing the Talent Pipeline
The demand has come not only from trainees looking to upskill but also the market: business leaders and government are calling for improvements in digital skills. Supermums is actively recruiting new people into the ecosystem and contributing to growing the talent pipeline, especially with regards to gender diversity.
With the support of the Carnac Group and Salesforce, Supermums is able to launch in ANZ.
Alongside our course sponsors, we’re also privileged to work with a wide range of businesses and charities who support internships, giving trainees all important hands-on, real life experience, such as OITC, Salesfix an Carnac Group. This compliments our recruitment offering and, with the support of recruitment partners in Australia such as TalentHub, we are continuing to support professional development of certified trainees by helping them find their perfect job.
We also have a growing army of Local Ambassadors across the continent to help spread the word and to meet our students at local meet-ups.
“There is a talent shortage in the technology sector that wants to employ an additional 2000 – 3000 new people in Australia within five years. We’re excited about working with Supermums to open up our vibrant and diverse Salesforce ecosystem to new talent.”
Vincent Motte, Carnac Group’s Managing Director
“We are strong believers that we should play a part in bringing new people into the Salesforce world, and we have a responsibility to up-skill those we can and help them help us.
Theo Kanellopoulos, Out In The Clouds CEO
Being a parent is one of the hardest things anyone will ever have to do, and because we hire our talents primarily based on EQ, this partnership is an excellent way for us to find the types of humans we want to work with every day.“
