Term: Part Time

THE ROLE

Our client is looking for an exceptional individual to help manage and drive their use of Salesforce as an organisation. As part of their Operations team, this role is at the heart of the Institute and involves interactions with colleagues across the team.

To thrive in this role you will need to have an excellent understanding of Salesforce and how it can best be used to support an ambitious and growing organisation. The role requires strong communication skills, patience and perseverance. Working to support teams with varying levels of Salesforce usage and knowledge, the role is key to align teams around Salesforce and ultimately ensure the Institute as a whole is taking full advantage of what the platform can offer.

Our client has big plans for the next few years, so this is an exciting and rare opportunity to help drive design, implementation and usage of a platform that will change the way they work.

Administrative management of Salesforce

  • Manage users, user type profiles, license, permissions and permission sets
  • Onboard new team members and develop training materials to aid with onboarding to our customised Salesforce Org
  • Troubleshoot all user issues
  • Fully capture and document our Salesforce Org as it continues to evolve
  • Regularly perform maintenance on the platform, checking that the system and all associated apps or software are kept up to date

Salesforce Org development

  • Understand the varying needs of the different teams across the organisation – how they’re using Salesforce, where it’s falling short and what more the platform can do to help them all stay better connected
  • Prioritise and project manage required developments, whether that be building customised objects, setting up process flows or assessing and implementing third party apps
  • Advise and recommend how to make best use of platform tools, including apps, features, automation, events, user interface, integrations and emails/notifications
  • Keep abreast of the latest updates, tools and capabilities, considering and advising on potential opportunities and threats, consulting with and advising stakeholders accordingly

Making the most of our data

  • Ensure data is meaningful for all team members – set up dashboards and reports which will disseminate information across the team in a helpful and user friendly way
  • Ensure data connects the team to one another and is an accurate source for tracking interactions, project work and progression on programmes, via partner organisations and individuals

Driving usage and data compliance

  • Ensure compliance across the team, in accordance with GDPR regulation
  • Carefully consider visibility of required data across Salesforce users and within our wider network
  • Regular cleaning of data to ensure it’s up to date and remains relevant
  • Driving Salesforce usage across the team with a flexible and accommodating mindset; Salesforce should work for the Forward Institute rather than the other way round
