Head of Support Desk where the division of time currently would be 50% internal management and 50% billable activities on account management and cases, subject to review as the support desk grows.

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Salesforce Administrator. Job Description

Our client is looking for a Salesforce Senior Developer, who will demonstrate the competencies of a Salesforce Developer but also the attributes of leadership.

As well as some light development and participation in POCs, your role will include coaching & mentorship, peer code reviews & feedback, maintenance of technical standards, definition of Low Level Designs in line with the Product & Technical Roadmaps as well as making recommendations/providing feedback therein, provision of estimations for forthcoming initiatives, and support with the ongoing maintenance of the org(s).e

You will also be expected to keep on top of product enhancements announced by Salesforce via their Release Notes and announced at events.

It would be desirable for the Tech Lead to aspire to achieve further Salesforce certifications and/or to broaden their knowledge of other applications/offerings within the Salesforce ecosystem.

Accountabilities

  • In line with those outlined within the Salesforce Developer job profile – supporting where required the delivery of new functionality, enhancement of existing functionality, and troubleshooting where Production issues are highlighted
  • Day to day management of development standards, including definition of within Confluence and SQA, peer reviews and feedback, coaching and mentorship.
  • Provision of advice, guidance, feedback and recommendations based on Salesforce best practice and forthcoming deliverables announced by Salesforce by whichever means
  • Translate Business Requirements to enable the definition of high quality Low Level Design documentation to guide the Developers regarding solutions that should be adopted for the User Stories defined by the Business Analyst/Product Owner, in line with the Product and Technical Roadmaps defined by the Product Manager and Enterprise Architect.
  • Provide advice and make recommendations to the Business Analyst/Product Owner regarding Story content and structure, as well as solution options (declarative vs imperative code) which could either expedite or prolong delivery. The objective here is to minimise development where possible. This aspect will require a competency in translating technical components into business-friendly language
  • Provide advice and make recommendations to the Product Manager and Enterprise Architect in the creation and maintenance of their Product and Technical Roadmaps in line with Salesforce announcements and forthcoming deliveries
  • Support with the estimation of future work, both within the backlog and within the strategic roadmap, to enable funding request submissions and team structure/size definitions
  • Day to day management of the housekeeping of the org, both in terms of the code quality, as well as other aspects requiring attention, e.g. governor limits, storage, and other best practice aspects. Anything of concern should be raised with the Delivery Manager
  • This role is expected to keep on top of product enhancements announced by Salesforce via their Release Notes and announced at events

Essential

  • Multiple years’ experience working as a Salesforce Developer on both new initiatives and fixes for existing code, with a sound understanding of declarative and imperative coding and Salesforce best practices
  • Minimum Salesforce Platform Dev I certification attained
  • Possess and maintain technical proficiency with Salesforce technology including seasonal updates
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills in all stages of the software development life cycle
  • In-depth knowledge of Cloud-based technologies and passion for the CRM field

  • Have strong experience of working with 3rd party providers of data and APIs
