This organisation is a UK-based Salesforce consultancy specialising in the non-profit and charity sector and is seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to help charitable organisations leverage technology to improve fundraising, supporter engagement, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision making. The company delivers end-to-end Salesforce solutions that support donor journeys, fundraising campaigns, payment processing, gift management, and reporting.

 

The successful Salesforce Technical Architect will work closely with client stakeholders, architects, developers, consultants, and project delivery teams in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment focused on delivering social impact through technology.

 

Key responsibilities and focus areas:

  • Lead the technical architecture, solution design, and technical governance of Salesforce implementations
  • Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to both business and technical stakeholders
  • Define and enforce best practices across Salesforce architecture, security, performance, development processes, and governance
  • Create technical design documentation, architecture blueprints, and implementation standards
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and peer reviews for delivery teams
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risks throughout project delivery
  • Support pre-sales activities, solution estimation, and proposal development
  • Lead Salesforce integration strategy and oversee integrations with external systems
  • Recommend innovative solutions leveraging emerging Salesforce and AI technologies

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Technical Architect delivering multiple large-scale and complex Salesforce implementations (5+ years)
  • Salesforce Certified Integration Architect certification (mandatory)
  • Expert-level knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Extensive hands-on development experience with Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce architecture, solution design, and integration patterns
  • Experience managing Large Data Volume (LDV) Salesforce environments and performance optimisation
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with release management, CI/CD pipelines, and governance frameworks
  • Strong commercial awareness and consulting experience
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification
  • Interest in supporting charities and non-profit organisations through technology

 

Desirable:

  • Salesforce Certified Identity and Access Management Architect
  • Experience with Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud
  • Experience using Salesforce DX
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and modern web development technologies
  • Experience developing Salesforce managed packages
  • Experience with GitHub or Bitbucket
  • Knowledge of Agentforce and AI technologies
  • Experience within the non-profit sector
  • Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud or legacy NPSP
