Salesforce Functional Lead

Our client is a global management and technology consulting firm with a strong reputation for delivering digital transformation and enterprise technology solutions. Operating across multiple industries, they specialise in customer experience, cloud platforms, and data-driven innovation. The successful candidate will join a collaborative Technical Delivery Team made up of Functional Consultants, Technical Leads, Developers, and Architects. Teams typically operate in Agile or Waterfall environments and work closely with senior client stakeholders to deliver high-quality Salesforce implementations and enhancements.

The organisation is known for delivery excellence, structured governance, mentoring culture, and continuous improvement across all engagements.

Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas

• Lead the functional workstream on Salesforce implementations in line with the agreed Statement of Work
• Engage senior stakeholders and end users to analyse requirements and design scalable solutions
• Own and contribute to High-Level Design documentation
• Lead workshops and facilitate functional discussions
• Own, refine, and contribute to user stories
• Lead operational teams across Agile and Waterfall projects
• Plan and execute data migrations and deployment processes aligned to company standards
• Review and sign off solution summaries and estimates
• Support pre-sales activities including discovery workshops and estimating
• Mentor Senior and Lead Functional Consultants
• Contribute to best practice, reusable assets, and implementation patterns
• Conduct interviews for functional roles alongside HR
• Support professional development and certifications within the team
• Identify out-of-scope requirements and manage change control processes
• Occasionally deliver consultancy engagements independently

Requirements

• Strong experience leading Salesforce functional delivery
• Proven stakeholder management at senior level
• Experience within the charity / non-profit sector (essential)
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of Statements of Work
• Ability to manage estimates, risks, and scope control
• Experience delivering both greenfield and enhancement projects
• Comfortable working in structured consulting environments
• Own equipment required (not supplied by client)

Certifications

• Salesforce Certified Administrator
• Salesforce Certified App Builder
• Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
• Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant
• Salesforce Certified Community Cloud Consultant
• Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Certification (Required)
• One additional certification from: CPQ, Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Education Cloud, Einstein Analytics, Field Service Lightning, CDP, CMS, or OmniStudio
