Software Tester

Salary: £38,000 (Office-based, London) / £34,000 (Remote/home-based, within UK only)

Location: UK Based – Flexible

Overview:

Our client is a national membership and support organisation operating in the non-profit and social impact sector, focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable populations through technology and data-driven services. The organisation is well-regarded for its innovation, collaborative ethos, and sector leadership.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated Product Team, working closely with the Quality Assurance Lead, Product Manager, and other developers and implementation specialists. The team is collaborative and cross-functional, supporting both internal product development and client-specific implementations.

The flagship product is a Salesforce-based client recording system used by organisations delivering homelessness and supported housing services. Services include system implementation, configuration, ongoing support, and consultancy.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing business and functional requirements
• Designing and executing manual and automated test cases
• Investigating, reproducing, and testing bug fixes
• Maintaining and enhancing automated testing scripts
• Managing issues and communicating testing progress
• Working closely with the Product and Technical Teams on testing strategy
• Supporting additional projects requiring QA expertise
• Participating in team meetings and organisation-wide events

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year’s experience in a software testing or QA role
• Experience of testing user interfaces and writing test cases
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
